The following is a brief overview of the multi-tiered process involved in bringing your design project to life:
The Initial Consultation—A Discovery Process
The first step in developing your design project involves an initial consultation where we will present our portfolio and capabilities, discuss your project wishlist, and discover what is needed in your residential or commercial space. After determining the scope of your project and the desired outcome, and after discussing those things that inspire and reflect your design preferences for the project, a basic agreement will be presented for your approval. The agreement will include our fees and a proposed timeline for your project.
The Plan—Customer Requirements and a Design Concept
With your needs in mind, we will develop a design scheme that may include any or all of the following, depending upon the scope of your project: floor and space plans, specifications for flooring and millwork, paint, furniture , fabric, finishes, lighting and drapery selections. Katie and her team will work to combine all of these design elements and the desired functionality of your home or office space to complement the flow of energy inherent to the space—creating interior alignment and a design that reflects the ultimate potential of the space.
The Decision—and Beyond
Before beginning any project, we will help you visualize your project by presenting drawings, floor and space plans, photographs, and samples including paint, fabric, finishes, tile, and floor and wallcoverings as well as the associated costs of each element to aid in your design decisions. Once your selections are made and a plan is in place—we oversee the installation of each element with a quality review process and follow up that will allow you to relax and watch the magic of your new space unfold.
