Katie Wozniak, President and Lead Designer - Allied Member ASID
Our President, founder and Senior Lead Designer, Katie Wozniak, has built a strong foundation for the team at Katherine Elizabeth Designs. Whether she’s designing an elegant custom kitchen or a contemporary corporate lobby, Katie believes that your surroundings are vitally important to your outlook on life and work, and enjoys creating spaces that are as inspiring as they are functional. She specializes in Interior Alignment—the Feng Shui and Space Clearing art of aligning interiors by tying the flow of energy in a home or office to the desired functionality of the space, resulting in a peaceful and balanced environment.

Katie’s love for design was inspired by her parents’ custom home building business where she developed an appreciation for fine architecture and home design. She followed her passion to Paris and attended Parson’s School of Design where she was introduced to European architecture and interiors. Expanding on that experience, Katie then completed her Bachelors Degree in Interior Design locally at Harrington College of Design, Chicago. She developed her business skills and completed her Bachelors Degree in Business in her home state of Wisconsin at Marquette University, Milwaukee—with additional education at the School of Business at St. Clare’s Oxford University, England. A certification in the art of Feng Shui design rounds out Katie’s portfolio and has brought her recognition by the National Feng Shui Guild.

Katie has an impressive reputation for exceeding our client’s expectations and for delivering spectacular spaces that truly reflect the desires and ideas of those we serve.

Cathy Egerton, Design Associate - Allied Member ASID
After years of raising her family and dreaming about her passion for interior design, Cathy was able to pursue her dream of becoming an Interior Designer and recently completed the Interior Design program at College of DuPage. While completing her degree and certificates in lighting and AutoCAD, Cathy was able to put her design expertise to work as she assisted with custom window designs for a large home improvement retailer and by providing assistance to new home buyers in their selection process for a renowned Chicagoland home builder.

Cathy, who is certified in Kitchen and Bath design, enjoys the opportunity to improve our clients’ lives through creating beauty in their homes and workplaces. From creating a custom tile design on AutoCAD to selecting window treatments, Cathy recognizes the importance of integrating a client’s vision with their lifestyle. She finds that in satisfying both a client’s aesthetic and functional needs, her work defines the difference between just decorating and truly excellent interior design.

Andrea Daniels, Design Assistant - ASID Student Member
Our newest Design Assistant, Andrea Daniels, is excited to be doing what she loves best at KED. A student of Interior Design at Harrington Institute of Interior Design, she not only brings her cutting edge design skills to our team, but also a strong work ethic. A true hands-on designer who enjoys sewing, painting and carpentry, Andrea is a rising “Design Star” and was recently recognized by the Harrington School of Interior Design as part of a team of students that created a stunning Dining Room vignette for the DIFFA benefit for Aids awareness.

In addition to her knack for design, Andrea is experienced in various areas of business management, and draws from her past experience with a large national retail house wares and furniture chain where she developed her skills in retail store design, house wares and furnishings, and design for small spaces. Her keen sense of design aesthetics, coupled with her strong appreciation for architecture, furniture, lighting and rug design, and all things creative, are complimented by her passion for all things “Green”.

Andrea is an ardent devotee of the Green Movement or Sustainable Aesthetics in home design—an interest she attributes to her love for gardening and earlier days of getting “dirt under her fingernails” while working at a garden center. She hopes to expand her design capabilities into landscape architecture and contribute to eco-friendly design solutions. Her forward thinking design philosophy and love for every aspect of interior and exterior design make Andrea a wonderful addition to the KED team.
